Hi there,

The Little League World Series is kicking off right now! And even if your kid isn't going to Williamsport, we're cheering on every kid this season. No matter the sport they love, staying active is one of the best parts of a healthy routine for growing kids, and we know you're the ones making it happen. Here is what we have for you this week:

Let's read about how all those Saturday games are worth more than the trophies. Then we'll show you why bonds are paying their best rates in years. Finally you can hear from a Super Bowl champion who's part of the UNest family.

Let's get into it! — Mitch, from The Nest Egg team

YEARLY INTEREST
20-YR TREASURYS

Treasury bonds can feel like the "boring" part of investing. When you lend the U.S. government money, it pays you interest. But right now, these boring investments are doing great: ▲ long-term Treasurys are paying over 5% a year, above their average for the past 12 months.

Why you care: bonds are in nearly every UNest portfolio, and the longer your money stays invested, the more of that steady interest your account collects. Bonds are slow and steady, but they keep your money growing.

Take advantage of bond interest rates by setting up a recurring contribution. It only takes about 90 seconds in the app. Simply select which child's account from your home page and click "Recurring". It's that easy!

Rate data: U.S. Treasury yields as of market close Aug 12, 2026 (U.S. Department of the Treasury, daily par yield curve). The 20-year Treasury yield was 5.24%, above its trailing 12-month average of approximately 4.8%. Yields change daily and reflect interest on individual Treasury securities held to maturity — not the performance of any UNest portfolio, which holds diversified funds and may earn more or less. Brent Celek

Brent Celek

"I have four kids, and their future matters. Saving and investing should not be complicated. UNest removes the friction that turns good intentions into unfinished projects. I wish this had existed earlier in my life."

Why we love him

Brent spent 11 seasons grinding as a tight end for the Eagles and capped it with a Super Bowl ring. If you ask him about his proudest role, he'll tell you it's being a dad. He's been part of the UNest family for years because he believes every kid deserves a head start, the kind you don't need to outrun a linebacker for.
