By the UNest team · 7 min read
Hi there,
Long weekends and holiday travel are coming up, which means airports, back seats, and someone asking “are we there yet?”. We know family travel, and we have the rewards to make your trips easier! Flights, hotels and car seats add up fast, but if you use UNest rewards you will earn money back right into your child’s account.
Here is what we have for you this week:
Bond with your kids and plan your next vacation, what a winning week for stocks means for the drive, and a first time mom who will help you with all your baby gear needs.
Let's get into it! — Mitch, from The Nest Egg team
💡 FOR PARENTS
Your kid is now the family travel agent
Hilton's 2026 Trends Report found that 73% of people traveling with kids or grandkids expect to actively encourage them to play a role in vacation planning.
Kidfluence is real: 78% of parents agree that their children inspire them to seek out new travel experiences on vacation.

Having a skip generational trip with their grandparents is a great way for them to spend time together. Hilton found that 74% say traveling has strengthened the family bond through events tied to their interests. Trips with your family truly grow your relationships. So don't just wait, plan your next family trip before you wake up and your child is leaving for college.
Hilton is one of our proud partners, as well as others, to help you with all of your travel needs. Check out our rewards section in UNest to get money back into your account! 👇

Stocks finished the week higher. The S&P 500 closed Thursday at ▲ 7,730.99, up 0.7% on the week, helped by a strong forecast from Nvidia. Oil swung both ways: Brent fell hard early in the week as tensions around the Strait of Hormuz eased, then rebounded back above $88 a barrel.
What this means: Gas is holding near $4.10 a gallon. The pump follows crude with a lag, so a week like this one mostly means no big jump at the pump before your fall trip.
Markets move week to week. A recurring contribution doesn't, and that consistency is what compounds over the years your kid is still in the back seat.
Set up a recurring contribution
Setting it up takes about 90 seconds in the app. Simply select which child's account from your home page and click "Recurring". It's that easy!

🎙 INFLUENCER OF THE WEEK

Mama Carlson💙
First-time mom
Budget baby finds
Why we love her
Mama Carlson posts all about being a first time mom and giving advice to others. Our favorite thing she does is she reviews and hunts down baby gear to show you exactly what she found and if you should buy it. It's real advice from a real mom! If you are building a registry or just trying to keep the baby budget sane, her feed is worth a follow.
She gave UNest a lovely shout out, and we are proud to be part of her son's future.

Last poll we asked about money talks with your kids, and it was a close three way split between having talks, some talks, and not yet. It's great that a lot of you are having conversations with your kids about money! For those who picked "no, but this week's the week" we know you got this. Even just narrating one choice at the store counts.
