5 Reasons Why Education Matters For Your Kids
In this day and age, education is one of the most important things in life of any individual. You can hear a lot of people saying that, but why is that the case? There has to be something to it if everyone keeps saying it. For parents with kids, education is one of those topics that has to be discussed as early as possible - and for a good reason, too. Here at U-Nest, we believe education is the cornerstone of great, fulfilling life.
As parents, it is our duty to provide our kids with the best option when it comes to education - and here is why:
1. Knowledge is Power
Knowledge is most important currency in this day and age. A degree comes in handy, sure - but knowledge is what really matters. Having a skill in a certain field is good, but what really matters is attaining knowledge. And luckily, our country does a very good job at this. Contrary to the popular belief, America isn't all about those pesky degrees. United States' biggest goal is to have a healthy population packed with knowledge, it thinks in our best interest. Our kids are blessed with one of the best systems for education in the whole world. It would be real shame not to use that to our advantage.
2. Stability
Consider this fact: the more educated a person is, the more stable his life is. And we all know why stability is important. When we have a stable life, we don't have to worry and make rash decisions that may harm us in the long term. Stability is freedom. We believe it's one of the most important things that our kids should have. If we provide stability for our kids, they will be able to fully develop themselves without having to worry about life's essentials. Education is the first step toward stability and it's the step that has to be taken.
3. Self-Actualization
Think about it, how many brilliant people were there that simply had no tools to demonstrate their genius. All over the world, millions of talented kids never see light of the day because their parents, their country has failed to provide them with the basic education. Through proper education, kids can learn to find their identity, their place in this world. This is the first path towards self-actualization, the most important thing in anyone's life. It is defined as "the fulfillment of one's talent and potential". It's of utmost importance that we take the first step towards that - by educating our young one's the best we can.
4. Education Serves as a Protective Armor
There's a lot of people out there who are looking to exploit you and get something out of you. The more educated you are, the better you will be in dealing with these attempts. It's easy to fool someone who doesn't know any better. Education is a powerful self-defense tool and the more we progress in our academic lives, the more we're protected from outside threats. We all want our kids to be safe out there in the world, so let's give them the tools to protect themselves.
5. Education is Freedom
With everything said so far, one thing is clear: education is freedom. Freedom of knowing what's good for you, freedom of knowing what's bad for you, freedom of stability, freedom from threats. And that's what we're all about, is it not? As parents, we want our kids to have the ultimate freedom in their lives. You may have noticed that we didn't mention money at any point during this article. We wanted to show you that education brings about something more important than money. Money is simply a side-effect of it. And sure, we all want our kids to have enough money not to be worried about it. The good thing is that education will take care of that as well – so worry not.
We hope you're slowly starting to realize why we believe education to be the cornerstone of fulfilling life. Our kids deserve the best possible option that we can give them.

You can give children money that can accumulate somewhat tax-free over time... I love them (UTMAs) because they were like, trusts that you didn't need lawyers to create.... I think it's one of the better tax breaks around though. I know hunting for tax breaks may not sound very exciting, but that's how you take care of your family.
